A Strangely Isolated Place
A Strangely Isolated Place thumbnail
A Strangely Isolated Place Not as trancey as the usual Ultimae stuff, more downtempo , progressive and subtle, but still with an err of losing yourself in space. Favorite track: New Skin.

JB Not only the songs but the video teaser and the pictures included in this album are amazing. Great work Ultimae!

Dotflac I see [Tierra] as a time travel, from a past of nature to a future of peaceful cohabitation with modern life.

Beginning with Soft Lightning in a tribal atmosphere deep in the jungle, we slowly drift in an era where cities start to appear and merge with the trees.

Finally, through Awakening, we imagine a future where town planning considers a way to preserve nature.

Just as [Stella Nova], I'm already waiting for the sequel of this unique mix of tribal and electronic sounds by I Awake ! Favorite track: New Skin.
Alin Glow

Alin Glow Love the metal toxic smell in this album. First half of 'Soft Lightning' and 'Awakening' reminds me of 'Black Mesa' game. Slightly different than other Ultimae releases, but, anyway, as always amazing. Worth it. Favorite track: Awakening.

Following his debut album The Core, Swedish composer Thomas Huttenlocher re-enters his alias I Awake and sets his sound on its next journey with Tierra, a new three track EP which marks the first step in a series of releases to come in 2014.
