One of the best of 2014. For me, a big improvement on their first Ultimae album, Substans: more melodic, better structured and paced, less abstract and... I dunno, scattered than Substans. Substans owed a debt to Lifeforms-era FSOL, whereas this album sounds more like a tribute to Carbon Based Lifeforms or Miktek. And that's just fine by me. :)
Another great Ultimae release. The whole album has a swirling, watery feel to it. There's no gaps between the tracks, and the beats drift in and out like the tide.
Favorite track: Theory of Tides.
Embark upon Moon Pool, let the float begin…
Bjarte Andreassen and Jostein Dahl Gjelsvik invite you in a pure ambient story in 8 chapters. An album that will drive you further and deeper into sound. At times evanescent, ethereal , at times on a rolling ride.
Subtle blend of synthesis and organic instrumentations, Circular’s new album reveals the artists’ multi-genre inspirations, from the downtempo ballad, to minimalistc electro glide and the ambidrum’n’bass collaboration with Vincent Villuis / AES Dana. Delightful and astonishing!
Moon Pool is the third album on Ultimae by the Norwegian duo, who previously released on Origo Sound, famous for the Biosphere albums, and Section Records under moniker Molefonk. Thought out and conceived with an ear to refined details, it will stand as a landmark in Bjarte and Jostein’s musical production.

CBS never lets me down when it comes to good Ambient music. The whole album is beautiful and gives off this relaxing, chill feel. An awesome album to enjoy, and also de-stress from time to time. Surrealistic H. Sapiens
The two sides to producer Steve White’s music—futurism and soulfulness—sit more comfortably together than ever before on his latest album as Steve Spacek, which balances boundary-testing sonics with earnest, heart-on-sleeve lyrics. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 11, 2018
